WOMEN UP FRONT Kimberly Morris My name is Kimmy or some call me Harley PDX on Facebook.  My passion of riding is a whole world that I created for myself.  I took to riding dirt bikes at age 15 and eventually graduated to street bikes. I come from a family of motorcycle builders: From my father who taught me some tricks of the trade to building custom Harley’s, to my uncle who built some of the most Bad Ass trikes I’ve seen to this day.  My passion for riding grew quickly to wanting to rebuild my sporty into a bobber, which was a 3-year project. It was well worth the time and effort because “she is a beauty.” I do own 3 bikes, Custom Harley, Honda CBR 600 & Honda CRF 250. Eventually I turned my interest into riding more off road sports, such as Motocross and Flat Track and these motor sports stole my heart away from the world and gave me nothing but peace, just me and the track at that very moment. As far as racing, I started on dirt bikes at 15 years old and my first bike was a Yamaha 500. I’m sure you can imagine what kind of power that had to a 15-year-old. I was definitely doing my fair share of crashing, but all that did was make me want to ride more. It wasn’t until just recently that I started getting into racing, a late bloomer, I guess, but better late than never. In all actuality, it is a spendy sport and my parents couldn’t afford it as I was growing up. I started practicing with some awesome local MX riders and took on a few practices at the local tracks and just got a feeling of utter disbelief of freedom. That led me to practicing as much as possible until I participated in my first race last year and absolutely loved it. I’m definitely looking forward to this season and participate in some races at Portland International Raceway, Mt. View, in Sandy Oregon, a few other local tracks and eventually hit up the California circuit. I have also been dabbling in flat track. That is also a blast. This year I’m looking forward to doing some races, which are mainly held at Salem Fairgrounds. With all of my passion of two wheels, I felt I needed to turn it into a lifestyle, career and build my own empire and start a Women’s Motor Clothing Line. Badassery is a Retro, Punky-with-a-Pin-up twist, inspired line that is fitting to all body types. We specialize in Jean & Leather. All of our gear is custom Jeans, Jackets to full piece suits. The gear provides protection and style all at the same time. We will be launching the line in early June 2016 and will have our website BadasseryMotorClothing.com up and ready to rock for purchasing. We also are looking forward to holding a lot of events and fashion shows to show off our new gear, so please go like our Facebook page and keep updated with our events page. https://www.facebook.com/ badasserymotorclothing I also carry another line of Moto Gear, which is called Bad Ass Bettyz MotoGear and that line is for off-roading women, doesn’t matter if its 2 wheels or 4, we have a large selection of custom tee-shirt, tank tops, sweat shirt and pants, even hats. If you’re into Motorsports you’re going to love this line. I’m really looking forward to meeting all you lady riders, seasoned and new. We are going to have a lot of events this Summer and hope all of you wonderful women can join us in the celebration of riding free. Cheers! My name is Kimmy / Harley and I’m here to inspire all women to get out there and do what they love and fulfill their dreams and passions.  “The world does not benefit from hiding your Badassery!” Each month Thunder Roads of Oregon wants to share how women are embracing the world of motorcycling.
