Autonomous Vehicles – We are concern that
testing standards of completely automatic driver
less vehicles include sufficient, rigorous testing to
insure motorcycle detection & protection.
RPM Act – We asked our representatives to
support the RPM Act (S203 & HR 350) which
reins in the EPA’s attempt to ban the conversion of
street vehicles to racing and would have prohibited
installing racing components on street vehicles.
Oklahoma congressmen and senators agreed
with our positions on these issues. All were
surprised that there was profiling in Oklahoma,
and were not aware of the Oklahoma City State
Fair bias against motorcyclists wearing motorcycle
cuts. They were already working to rein in the EPA
and felt that Scott Pruit was an excellent choice to
head the EPA.
Bikers Inside the Beltway is an annual event. It
is a long ride, but gives you an excellent opportunity
to see some beautiful country while meeting
interesting people along the way. Our Washington
representatives and their staffs go out of their way
to welcome us, ask thoughtful questions and learn
of our concerns. Try it next year. You just might like
it enough to make repeat events.
