INDIANS DOMINATE
THE OKC MILE

It was a big day for Indian Motorcycles at the OKC Mile as the second year’s American Flat Track
Twin main event winner was none other than last year’s OKC Mile winner, Jared Mees. Passing his
teammate of the Indian Wrecking Crew, Brad Baker, for the win as Bryan Smith, the third member of
wrecking crew, brought up third. It’s obvious how the Wrecking Crew got their name. They are wrecking
the win records around the country one track at a time.
The crowd was warmed up for the main event after female rider, Shayna Texter, took the win in the
AFT Singles Main Event. This made the 3rd win for her this season. She was a big hit as she raced hard
from third place to win the feature event. Her fast reaction time, strategy and driving harder into the
corners than her competitors got her the win. The crowd went wild as they cheered for her to take home
the win. Men were cheering as loudly as her female fans as she crossed the finish line in first place at
the checkered flag.
Again, Remington Park played host to the 2nd Annual OKC Mile presented by Brass Monkey
Productions. Shaun Brassfield is the promoter and on-site director of this tremendous addition to
Oklahoma City’s annual entertainment. This event is more than a race, it’s much like a reunion of racers
and old skool riders. They come in from several states surrounding Oklahoma and make a weekend
of it. The race gates open 4 hours prior to the racing to allow for everyone to be able to visit the
many vendors inside the air-conditioned facility and outside. Indian Motorcycles was the featured booth
outdoors where anyone who rode an Indian Motorcycle could park trackside on the front stretch. Nearly
100 Indian Motorcycles filled this area as Indian Motorcycles of Oklahoma City hosted a weekend long
rally around the OKC Mile race. The Indians were thrilled as the Indian Wrecking Crew crossed the line
for the wi n a second year in a row.
