BIG DOG BIKER
10TH ANNIVERSARY RIDE
As the Big Dog Motorcycles approached their production peak in 2007, a small group of Big Dog
owners decided it was time to start uniting. A blog was created called Big Dog Biker Forum and the
uniting of riders began. Since that time, the forum members have become a group of riders who get
together at rallies, events and neighboring towns or states. Many of them find a place to stay as they
travel across the USA vacationing on the back of their bikes with fellow riders they met over the blog.
But friendships aren’t the only thing that occurs in the blog. Several discussions are shared on repairing
and maintenance of their bikes and more. The years have passed and the discussions and members
have increased as the word about the blog has spread. On the 10 year anniversary, it only made sense
that the celebration should be held at the Big Dog Motorcycles shop in Wichita, KS.
A gathering of nearly 40 riders came together at the beautiful Flint Oak Lodge East of Wichita. The
first evening was filled with a lot of introductions and realizations of how they knew one another through
the forum. Matt Moore, President of Big Dog Motorcycles, introduced his team just before our delicious
meal prepared by the Flint Oak Chef. On Saturday morning, the Big Dogs paraded to the Big Dog
Motorcycles manufacturing building where lunch was served, followed by Matt Moore sharing the vision
he has for the revised Big Dog Motorcycles under his team’s leadership. The new plan is already in place
and the new bikes are being built for the buyers. These are upgraded motorcycles with improvements
galore and a ride that is smoother than ever before. Please watch for our review of the 2017 Big Dog
K-9 in next month’s issue.
