RIDING ON FAITH
By SFJ MC Mike, President, Northeast Oklahoma CoC and Oklahoma CoC Christian Unity MRT Coordinator
I started Writing this just a few Minutes after
Seeing T and a few of my Friends Of the Oklahoma
Women in The Wind Twisted Sister Chapter at
Sturgis .
This Year at Sturgis has been a little rough . I
have been here 10 years in a row and know what
needs to be done up here to prepare our building
for our vendors. This year, everything has been
a struggle to get ready not to go into detail this
year was the hardest I’ve ever had at Sturgis. I was
frustrated from the day I got to Sturgis. Midway
through the rally, I wanted to quit and just go home,
but I didn’t, I hung on, Prayed harder, studied harder
in the Morning before work. Thursday, Friday and
Saturday before I headed upstairs to Work. I help
manage a building in Sturgis as part of my duties
working for Aid to Injured Motorcyclists. See, the
week before, while getting the building ready, I was
rushed and my mind was focused on getting my
job done with the building and making our vendors
and my crew happy. In doing so, I forgot about why
God had me in Sturgis. Why God has Blessed me
with a job that pays all my expenses and it’s a full
time job of working motorcycle events Nationwide
. Wow! That is a Blessing .. See I was focused on
what I could see in front of me. During that extra
time in Prayer, God reminded me that the Church
is the people, not the building .
It’s His people, it’s all about showing People
God Loves them. It’s not how nice the outside is,
but how the inside is . God wants everyone to know
He loves them. My Last few days at Sturgis weren’t
easy but they were easier. I was focused on people,
not the situation or circumstances just the people.
God put a few people in my path those last couple
of days that were all experiencing struggle of some
kind. We prayed, we talked and I was able to tell a
few what Jesus has done in my life and a few more I
prayed with and helped them have some hope. God
had a plan to use me, I just had to get refocused
on the Mission he sent me on and get over myself.
So, when you’re having a bad day and things
aren’t going right, stop, pray, listen and obey. It could
be that the only Jesus someone sees today comes
from you. Look for the Purpose God has for your
Life. Remember, help somebody if you can, because
if you see a need and you can help, you to have a
purpose today!
Be Blessed and be a Blessing!
Ride Hard!!!
Ride Safe!!!!
Ride with Jesus!!!!!!!
Always Remember.
