Letter from The Editor Hello you rowdy, riding, rebellious men and women! The most important month of the riding year! May brings us two very important motorcycle celebrations. It’s Motorcycle Safety and International Women in Motorcycling Day. First, Motorcycle Safety. This month kicks off the first of a series of articles on Motorcycle Safety. This series will include perceptions of taking riding courses from many different perspectives, as well as, a few variations of the courses taken. I hope you find it not only helpful, but that it encourages you to continue your education on riding your motorcycle. Secondly, we celebrate women riders. I have ridden my own motorcycle since I was 5 years old so it’s hard for me to understand this celebration. A large populous of women have not ridden for many years. The numbers of women riding their own bikes has increased exponentially over the past 5 to 10 years. As a woman rider, I’ve enjoyed changing my thinking on other women riders. I’ve taken at least one or two women only rides every year for the past 7 years. This year, I hope you ladies join me on Tour De Hope Ride and Empowerment Fest June 22-25.
