looked up to Jessi’s talents and
felt it was time for her too, to
follow her dream of fabricating
metal. We hope to see the two
of them welding side by side at
the 2015 summit!
As is the case with every great
ride, we had to wrap it up and end
it with a two day ride back home.
It was so much fun to sit the
last night around the table and
listen to the girls laughing and
sharing their ideas, friendships
and experiences. Some magical
experience called sisterhood had
bound them closely together. Not
a one of them were going home
the same as they were when they
left Oklahoma five days earlier.

saying in the prayer, “let us not
ever forget the strength we
possess as a sisterhood when
we go our separate ways. We
are only separated by mileage,
but forever bound by spirit of
the Steel Horse Sisterhood.”
As I said many times on the trip,
“there’s no more direct path
to a woman’s soul than riding
handlebar to handlebar, 80 mph,
down life’s highway with like
minded women”.
We may have ended this ride,
but we have not stopped the
journey.
Our photographer, Sarah,
was so inspired she bought
a bike and enrolled in a basic
rider course upon arrival home.
Post ride, our chase truck driver
observed a photo taken on the
first morning of us all in a circle
for our prayer which we were
more than an arm’s length apart.
The last morning which we stood
in that circle for our prayer,
