RIDING ON FAITH As if God were reminding me, He drew my us never forget whose will shall be done. On this attention to the eagle floating high in the sky without Independence Day, let us seek His face, and ask fear or fetters for each tomorrow. In that moment, Him to Let Freedom Ring, and God Bless America. I remembered who was in charge. “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they CATCH YOU IN THE WIND!! Pulling into a high octane gas station, I filled up, and walked inside. As I handed the clerk the $14.75, my focus went to “In God We Trust”. Man! Doesn’t that prove we once honored God? Accelerating on down, and the rumble in my stomach as loud as the engine, I pulled into the Hard Rock Café. Trying to honor my healthy eating commitment, I ordered Dawn’s “Live Stronger Section” of a smothered pork center. Just as the waitress walked by, a fabulous familiar aroma of Great Grandmom’s peach cobbler drifted across my keen sense of smell. Without hesitancy, my commitment was lost in the moment, and I ordered peach cobbler topped with ice cream. Homeward bound, I pulled down the lid, mounting the black beauty, I headed back down the Mother Road. Entering the small towns of Warwick, Wellston, Luther, and Arcadia, Old Glory flying on lamp posts on main streets, with intermittent sounds of exploding firecrackers heard in the distance, the ride was replete with history. Numerous historical reminders had proven where we’d been, but where were we headed? Those of us born before the 1960’s have watched the drastic change in our nation, physically, morally and spiritually. How long can we survive the ungodliness our nation has chosen? The only peace I have found comes from the fact that God is still in control. God’s word says in Matthew 11:15 “He who has ears, let him hear.” We need to listen!
