Once again, Thunder Roads
Magazine OK/AR was given the
opportunity to be proud sponsors
of Rumble and Roll in Tulsa. This
very well attended event has close
to 2,000 riders who rumble and
roll into the quaint area of Tulsa
known as Brookside along Peoria
Street. Many onlookers were
asking why they were all gathering.
I was happy to report to them that
it is to make wishes come true
for children who need a wish to
come true more than anyone. The
wishes are met by the coordination
of donors and The Make-A-Wish
Foundation. This event is a mere
few hours long, but the payoff
is big. The 2014 event, held the
first Thursday of June each year,
brought three children wishes!
This is a record attendance and
record funds raised at $17,745.
It’s repeatedly humbling to see

the miracles large groups of riders
can create. Thanks to all who work
so diligently to make this event
possible year after year. We will
see you for years to come until we
can meet every child’s dreams!
