Thunder Roads Magazine of Oklahoma/Arkansas December 2014 Issue 5 Volume 13 | Page 4
LETTER FROM THE EDITOR
Ho! Ho! Ho!
Someone please tell me how I went from preparing for
the Jeff Williams Show 10 months ago to today in about
30 seconds! My goodness, did we ever have a fantastic
year here at Thunder Roads Magazine OK/AR. It was
simply incredible and I couldn’t be happier to have been
able to bring all of you so MANY fabulous articles, photos,
videos, media blitz, social media, travel, sites, bikes, people,
who’s who and so much more! Watch for a full review in
the January issue.
As for now, let’s get our long johns on, our ear muffs,
mittens and boots and cover all that up with leathers for
some toy runs! This time of year brings us so many
opportunities to give. Remember that while children love
toys and toy runs are abundant now, there are many children
who will go hungry over the holidays as their schools are
closed and cannot provide the very needed food sacks.
Kickin’ Childhood Hunger is an organization put together
by Forman Harley-Davidson, Kicker, Oklahoma Closing,
Stillwater Mill, Wheeldock and Thunder Roads Magazine to
meet their needs in North Central Oklahoma. Thus far we’ve
been able to give out over $30,000 to the local communities
for food sack programs already in existence or for seed
money to begin. We were also able to approve additional
program requests that specifically meet the holiday break
food sack needs of these kids. We have all felt so blessed
by the outpouring of support we’ve had doing this project
this year. If you’d like to donate funds to this cause, Mail to
Kickin’ Childhood Hunger, 3512 S Boomer, Stillwater, OK
74074. If you’re able, please don’t forget the less fortunate
this holiday, by donating to a cause in your area.
I hope you enjoy some of the extra cool stuff in this
month’s issue. We have a few little surprises that I think
you’ll like! Don’t forget the reason for the season! Around
here’s it’s Jesus and I’m not afraid to state what I believe in.
If you disagree, that’s ok because many have died for you
and I to have that freedom of religion.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to All!
