Letter from The Editor
Hello to all you rowdy riders!
I hope this fi nds you either talking about the great
summer adventure you took on bikes, the one you’re
about to take or the one you are on! It’s that time of year
when everyone is talking about riding. Sturgis is in full
swing and for the fi rst time in fi ve years, I’m not making
the trip. I will instead, be taking a trip to Tennessee to
tame the dragon in September. Follow along on that trip.
It is my fi rst time there and can hardly wait.
Now for this cover! Lola (my 2007 Big Dog Chopper)
is celebrating her ten year Birthday right smack dab
in the midst of Big Dog Motorcycles’ comeback. Last
month I was invited to Wichita KS to the home of Big
Dog Motorcycles. I was asked to test ride the 2017
Big Dog K-9. Now, as luck would have it, I didn’t get a
good photo of it as I was on it about every moment that
I was on it. I was able to get a few lo resolution photos,
that were extracted by Mike Gamache of Colorado
Mountain life Photos, from video shot on our ride. I can
advise you to take a ride on the new, improved Big Dog
Motorcycles should it ever arise. Ten years did a lot for
this motorcycle brand. It’s spectacular!
Let’s pay attention out there. For those of you who ride
in College or University towns, recall that the students
are all looking around in their unfamiliar surroundings.
They’re not looking for us, they’re looking for their next
stop! I’m not picking on College students, but rather just
reminding everyone how little people are looking out for
us on the highways.
School zones will be back in effect this month. Slow
down and watch out for kiddos!
