“THE RIDE OF A LIFETIME”
Article by: Ed Thompson, Larry Fisher and Rick Tyler.
This ride started out as most
things do, as an idea. “Hey, let’s
take a ride this summer to Glacier
National Park.” It started out
pretty ambitious knowing it was
going to be a minimum of 3,600
miles round trip. Then, as time
passed, we thought since we’re
going that way anyways….well

to make the ride: Ed Thompson,
who owns Creek County Cycles,
Rick Tyler, Larry Fisher and Ron

the trip, we rode as hard and as
fast as we thought we could get
away with. We were stopped by
a Trooper outside of Woodward
and we all got warnings for doing
72 in a 65mph zone. He was a
great guy and actually joked with
us about being the “Wild Hogs.”
He even took pictures with us
and said, “You know, the cop in
the Wild Hogs was gay? Well,
you aren’t getting a picture of a
gay cop!” The mild day began
to change as we got closer to
Guymon. The wind
