LOUISIANA THUNDER RUN RIDE N’ WIN CONTEST ********** MARCH-OCTOBER 2016
By : Andrew Fehn
They have been savagely thrown into the post apocalyptic future. They are
prisoners in a wasteland because of the war over the last oil resources.
They have become alone and desperate while trying to survive the unknown. These women are hungry, tough, angry, and will destroy anything
or anyone in their path in order to preserve the fuel needed for their motorcycles to continue their journey looking for any kind of civilization that
may still exist in the world. They have grown in wisdom, and very instinctive, keen, and are now a part of this desolate environment. They are the
“Thunder Road Warriors”.
We hope that all of our readers will enjoy this theme and image as much
as we did creating it for our October cover. The idea came to me about
three months ago because I wanted to make a special Halloween Cover. I
wanted to create something that “hasn’t been done before in our network,
and can be an obvious and unique concept.” Well you can see the final
product and when I brought this to the professional and talented model
and actress, Chas Beasley, she surprised me with outfits that she designed and handmade just for this project. At that point I knew this would
get serious and it did. Chas co-produced the shoot, and coordinated the
other models, and scheduled the location for the photo shoot. We took
the risk of weather and gathered people for an outside shoot in downtown
New Orleans. We contacted brother bikers for the use of their bikes and
props needed for the project. They showed up with a truck load of guns
and some very cool, ( and legal) weapons to help create the authenticity.
Our incredible graphic artist Donna Prosperie, also came to advise with
my direction of the shoot. My co-publisher and partner Renee Harrall also
made sure that all things were handled and put in order so there would be
no mistakes with this size of event. We want to thank everyone who believed in this project and donated their time and support. It was a difficult
task but we got it done and we all had a lot of fun !!!
