Maritime Biker

By : Captain Steve
WZUP guys ?
Captain Steve here with a lot of hope for all my Maritime buddies ... Looks like things are slowly starting to pick up out here . Boat companies , oil companies and other tool rental companies on the move ... Things should start getting better down here in the gulf region .
With that being said , it gives me great pleasure to present my next Maritime Biker , Captain Bruce Matherne . A great boss , friend and all around good guy to work for . With his past experience at the helm of some great stories ( some of them are better left alone ), he has risen in the ranks from Ocean Captain to V . P . in charge of operations , overseeing day to day operations of the offshore vessels , maintenance issues , making sure that each and every one of us that work for him are well taken care of while also tending to supply orders and all aspects of the towboat industry . Bruce works for one of the premier , if not the best offshore boat companies around , Marquette Transportation . ( brownie points in the works ) With over 30yrs experience , living the boat life and traveling to foreign countries , he is a man of great knowledge as to what it takes to be out here , away from family and friends , for long periods of time . It helps when you have issues at home that you aren ’ t able to deal with by yourself . He is always there for his fellow man when the need arises .
I have had the honor of riding with Bruce , and his wife Tammy on several benefit rides , always there for his community too , doing what he can . Always a good time with these two !
When not in the office , you can spot Bruce riding around the bayou on his 97 Heritage Softail Classic , a beautiful , well preserved scoot ... Enjoying life and making life a little bit better for others . So I want to say , “ Thanks man , for all that you do .” If you ’ re a captain , or a deckhand with a goal to be the best you can be , then hit me up and I ’ ll hook you up with a man that can make it happen ... Till the next time ... Keep the shiny side up and let the thunder roll ...
