Letter from the Publishers
Rallies! Benefits! Poker Runs! Bike Nights! It’ s all part of who we are as riders and what we are about. Most of us
take off each weekend during the spring and summer riding to destinations to give support and help to others
in need.“ Riding for a cause” is what we are about. And starting in this issue we will be featuring many of those causes. When you have a purpose to ride it makes it more fun doesn’ t it? We know as bikers that we love helping our
community and experiencing the brotherhood amongst us, and meeting new people, forming bonds, and still getting in those much needed miles we crave after a long work week. I would like to invite you to step out of your“ comfort space” in your own home towns and communities and get out and discover some new places and meet some new people, while still helping those that need us. And while you are at it, make sure you get a“ Louisiana Thunder Run“ card at participating locations throughout our state. They are free and give you discounts at these locations and chances to win prizes every month and our grand prizes at the finale party in October. All for NO charge at all!! Just get out and ride!
We will be adding new stops every month until September
and you can find all of the information you need to participate within our pages of The Louisiana Thunder Run. We will also be posting our winners and new locations on the Louisiana Thunder Run page and Thunder Roads Louisiana Magazine Facebook pages.
Until next month. Make sure you thank our military,
veterans, fire, and rescue services for their sacrifice and service. And remember where there are bikes, there is going to be thunder.

R. I. P. to all our brothers and sisters who lost the ride.

Cover Story
For those who don’ t know me, I take the production of my covers very serious. I’ m serious about the fun that always comes with the people involved in the whole process. This month, I met Franky, our male cover model and decided to put beside him our girl Chasidy because I felt they would complement the look I was searching for. Chasidy has been on a few of our covers and honestly, we could dress her in a burlap bag and she’ ll look and play the part great so she was the best choice for this particular idea. Franky is cool and has the manly man’ s look that most women enjoy, plus he’ s a marine veteran which to us is great added incentive. So we have the set up; Chasidy, Franky, Clarke( photographer) our good friend Ryan with his 09 Heritage( special spokes!!) and an intoxicated audience watching in the dark back alley at The Blvd Bar, in Metairie, La. This photo shoot was totally“ improvised” because our original plans fell apart and made this one some serious memorable fun. Thanks to all involved.
