Change some things would
have been best to say, but
never attempt to change your
spouse. You knew who they
were when you married them.
You may offer suggestions, or
your insight into areas for self-
improvement, but do not try to
force them to change. Evolution
is a process, trust it! Listening to
your loves concern on the issues
can greatly improve your
marriage. Too often as one
person is speaking the other is
dissecting the message readying
a response... Don’t do that. Pay
attention to what is being said.
How it is being said. If you do
not know, ask why it is being
said, listen. If communication is
clear without all the static there
will be progress in the process.
Hit TV Show Blackish, pivotal
episode
In IndieWire, Tracee Ross and
Anthony Anderson discuss a
pivotal episode where the
beloved couple play the roles of
Bow and Dre. “Black-ish” is in
the middle of what may be its
most daring storytelling yet: A
current storyline in which Dre
(Anthony Anderson) and Bow
(Tracee Ellis Ross) have hit a
rough patch in their marriage.“I
had trepidations,” Ross said of
the storyline. “It’s scary to pull a
couple that’s so beloved and
that I love apart into a difficult
space and a difficult time. But
Ialso think it’s really real.
Couples go through this. And
one of the things I thought was
beautiful about the way they
did it is no one is to blame. It
was just unfolded over time
with this couple.“The anchor of
our show is usually that love,
respect and enjoying of each
other that Bow and Dre have,”
Ross added. “There’s a really
solid partnership that they have.
For that kind of foundational
anchor to be loosened felt and
feels really uncomfortable. I’m
grateful to the audience for
hanging in here with us.”
