Love yourself before you love someone else. by Becky McKeown
I have had a string of toxic relationships. I thought i knew what love was before life knocked me to my knees.
Reflecting on it I believe it was God telling me to breathe. I needed to stop and really smell the roses.
Yes, cliche. But as single moms we forget to. I had to learn how to embrace every scar, extra pounds, wrinkles and now modified body.
Twenty four surgery’ s in ten years have taken a toll on my body and soul.
True happiness is loving yourself first.
I was blessed that I had the support of my surgeon who helped me achieve this acceptance.
So ladies say no when you need to.
Go ahead and enjoy the roses and your happy place. Bubble baths, a good book, movie, ocean something or someone that helps you get your spark back.
We all need to be happy and healthy since our kids need us to be!
Should I love me for once?
