“ and what, who is Rasheeda?”
“ The girl I was telling you about, man she is amazing. I think I’ m in love with her.”
“ Yo, man you tripping after one date! You’ re in love. But hey I fell in love with Lisa. I hope you know what your doing.”
( shaking my head)“ I do man! I do! But anyway, whats good with you?”
“ Oh, yea I was calling to see what you getting into tonight. Man, you should bring this Rasheeda lady.”
“ Naw, not yet.”
“ Ok, Alonzo. I’ m just saying. I hope you got a date. Better yet, I have one for you.”
“ Johnny you love hooking me up. I really don’ t need a date, but, okay man.”
“ You want to go to the Bar tonight?”“ Naw, I think ima go home and chill.”“ You’ re going home to think about Rasheeda.”“ Bye man!
( Knocks at the door)“ Hey girl!” as Rasheeda answered the door, her girls greeted her with hugs and bags of goodies.“ Ladies I got us three movies!”
“ Rasheeda! I’ m so happy honey! How was it? Who is this lucky man? You have to tell me!”
“ What are yall two talking about?”( ladies smiling)“ Ah,( looking around) nothing Rasheeda said with a soft voice.
“ Oh, its something Rasheeda. What’ s going on? I see you have a glow, but I didn’ t really wanna say anything.”
“ Zoe, did you know about this?”“ Know what Lisa?”“ Shut up Lisa!”
“ That our best friend has something to tell us. She was in the kitchen talking to Diamond and not us.”
“ Calm down ladies.”“ I met a guy.”“ You did what?”
“ I know it wasn’ t cold as hell for no reason? Who did you meet Rasheeda?”
“ I meant this handsome guy, maybe a few weeks ago at that coffee shop. We all used to go to Spring Street and I kind of bumped into him.”
“ Let me guess, Chick flix?”“ You know it!”“ Zoe, get the wine and lets get this party started!”
The ladies laughed and talked while watching movies all night. They planned the big night that everyone couldn’ t stop talking about. Lisa is known to have the biggest and baddest party of the year.
Rasheeda walked in the kitchen.
“ Hey are you ok Rasheeda?”“ I’ m fine Diamond, I was just thinking about earlier today.”
“ What about earlier today?”“ I went out on a lunch date.”“ OMG! Rasheeda you did what?”( rambling on loud)
“ Shhh!!! I havent told the other girls yet, so you need to be quiet.”
Jumping up and down with amazment.
“ Ah do you mean you cut in front of him?” Looking over at Zoe,“ and how would you know that?”“ Because she told me about it.”“ Ladies could yall please stop it! Let me tell ya what happened!”
The ladies went back in the den. Everyone poured a glass of wine, while Rasheeda told them every detail about this mysterious guy that noone knows about.
“ Well I think its beautiful that you actually considered having feelings for someone.”
