It doesn’t matter to him if he knows the recipient of his prayers or if they’re on the other side of the globe. When the need is great, Charlie lives to love those who are especially when there’s a tragedy in the world. His words of comfort have been gratefully received in recent months by residents of Newtown, CT and Boston, MA.
I’ve often witnessed how his special prayers touch people’s lives at a depth beyond the scope of my own messenger abilities. I have a theory about the extra chromosomes that are a part of Down syndrome: I believe they’re little golden keys for opening hearts, and I have years’ worth of anecdotal evidence to support this hypothesis.
We must heal people and animals and everybody on the Earth. The sunshine will make this holy to our God around us. The world is changing to the lightness and loving and healing free.
The interesting thing about our mother-son messenger team is that neither of us can do this work alone. Charlie needs me to help his message take flight, and I need him for the inspiration he brings to my writing. It’s true that together, we’re so much more than we could ever be on our own.
Since he’s now graduated from high school, we’ll be able to step more completely into our roles as messengers of love. No matter where life takes us, we’ll savor the chance to spread our wings and fly wherever God leads us. There’s a bigger plan at work, and I must remain open to receive the guidance.
It’s obvious to me there’s no real mystery to Charlie’s calling. I believe we all have such a call deep within that beckons us to rise into the full measure of our potential. The difference between my son and me is that he’s so naturally free inside his heart—while I must work to release the illusions of unworthiness that have long cluttered mine.
Give the holiness of the sadness to our God and all the stars are shining beautyness. The sun makes shining yellow lights with our true spirit. Joy to be angels and loveness will be happiness to our world.
Every one of us has a message for the world that no one else can share. We’re created as living, breathing messengers of Spirit, but somewhere along life’s journey, we fall asleep to this knowing. My precious son has never forgotten his truth, but instead, welcomes it with open arms. But he’s really no different from the rest of us.
When I look at Charlie’s life, I’m given an exquisite example of what it means to live with an unencumbered heart. That’s the secret behind his ability to bring hope and healing to everyone he meets. The transformational power of his message lies in his absolute insistence on being genuine.
