production output by simplifying and optimizing the line . This enabled Tesla to beat a then record 5000 electric vehicles per week .
Brian has already accomplished a lot in his career , but has a clear vision for what he continues to work towards next . “ My goal professionally is to design a high concentration grid that can be powered 100 percent by renewables and energy storage . Every house , every building , and make it economically feasible to do so .” His professional trajectory , combining his experience with solar inverters and batteries , gives him a unique perspective on a technical solution to pairing storage with renewables .

“ I want to do something that can change the world forever . A lot of people talk about making a difference , but it is most important to take action and make it happen . I want to live by example and have converted my home in New Hampshire to net zero using the Tesla Solar Roof and Powerwalls . I want to make it more economical than ever for others to do the same . That is something we can change within my career , unlocking resiliency and distributed power generation ,” says Brian .
Brian is returning to Maine to take on a new role as VP of Engineering at Generac Clean Energy in South Portland . He is excited to come home and bring back all he has learned to further unlock mass scale home solar / storage , and share his knowledge with the next generation of engineers .

When asked what advice he would give the current students at TA about finding their purpose Brian says , “ find something you are extremely passionate about , that you like to do , that you are good at . That is what I tell my own daughters . It is a formula for success that I have never deviated from . Work has been a dream , it hardly seems like a job and I ’ m able to make a difference .”
Just make sure you look around and pay attention because sometimes you just might find that passion in the most unlikely of places … like a classroom , in the attic of the Main Building .
