Athletes follow in alumni footsteps

Congratulations to the 2012 State
Championship Football Team and
individual state champion, Charlotte
Pierce ’13 for her one mile victory.
Marie Lemay ’07 was the last TA female to bring
home a State Championship one-mile title.

The last time the Golden
Ball graced the Thornton
Academy campus was in
1988 when Thornton beat
Lawrence 43-13.
Two years prior, the 1986 football earned the Championship title
along with a perfect 10-0 season. Coach Dick Agreste earned
Coach of the Year. The 1986 team was inducted into the TA
Athletic Hall of Fame Awards in 2011. Our headmaster, Rene
Menard was part of the 1986 team.
