"Th is past semester, I interned at the U.S. Department of the Treasury in the
Offi ce of Economic Policy where I worked closely with PhD economists on
a variety of in depth research and analysis on current macroeconomic and
microeconomic issues. Topics of projects I worked on include foreign exchange
markets, consumer credit and revolving credit delinquencies, and the relation-
ship between the labor market and compulsory school age attendance. Addi-
tionally, I worked with senior offi cials at the Treasury in preparation for their
upcoming testimonies in front of the Senate Finance Committee.
Additionally, I had the opportunity to work on a project concerning current
economic trends and conditions in the USA. I chose to study consumer credit
and revolving credit delinquencies. My work will be included in a memo for
Secretary Mnuchin in the near future.
Th is internship experience confi rmed my passion for economic policy and
the global macroeconomy. I am so thankful for my experience at Th ornton
Academy, which indeed prepared me for a changing world. From the variety
of classes I took to the dedicated faculty, Th ornton Academy is truly a gem."

purchase passes which in turn get
donated to other organizations in
need. Our goal is to break down the
barriers as to why people can't get a
job or go to work, get an education,
