In all the years that he played, Pike
recalls the facilities were always
packed; oft en times, chairs were put
on the stage to accommodate the
attendees. He recognizes that the
facilities have not changed since
its construction and Th ornton
Academy has outgrown the space.
"My experience with athletics was
great. It kept me focused," Pike
said. "I think a new fi eld house is a
great asset for the teams. It will help
every athletic team."

have late practices; the additional
space for lacrosse, soccer, fi eld
hockey, and other sports will help

use the fi eld house at one time or
another.”
Upon hearing about the exciting
news that the gym would be
