Last year alone, the Boosters approved wish list items totaling $16,000," current Booster President Stephanie McCollum says. Booster volunteers assist in running the concession stands in the gym, at Hill Stadium and complete tasks which may include anything from cooking hamburgers and hot dogs to making popcorn or selling 50/50 raffl e tickets at football games. In addition to supporting athletes on the fi eld, the Boosters also award annual scholarships to graduating seniors. Th e annual Jeddy Newman Memorial Scholar/Athlete Award and Outstanding Senior Athlete Scholarships, totaling close to $5,000 and are awarded to one male and one female each year. Th e Th ornton Academy Athletic Boosters are proud to support the Th ornton Academy Athletic Complex Capital Campaign and have pledged $25,000 in making this dream become a reality for students.
