TAMS ’ Debbie Crepeau Receives State Recognition
TA TREASURES
Anyone attending a TAMS Open House , or community events like the Halloween Extravaganza or Breakfast with Santa , will not be surprised at the news that Debbie Crepeau stands out among educational staff across the state . For the past seven years as TAMS ’ Administrative Assistant , Crepeau has dedicated her time and energy to making the school a welcoming place for its students , and always with her trademark smile . That smile got a little broader this summer when she was selected for the 2021 RISE Award by the Maine Department of Education .
“ Receiving the RISE Award was a wonderful surprise and honor ,” said Crepeau . “ I ’ m so thankful to work with the best principal , Tiffany Robert , and my awesome colleagues . TAMS is my home away from home . We truly are all family , including our amazing students .”
The RISE Award , “ Recognizing Inspirational School Employees ,” is bestowed by the Maine DOE to honor two non-instructional employees across the state for their exemplary service to students in pre-kindergarten through high school . The recipient must demonstrate work performance , school and community involvement , and leadership and commitment .
“ Debbie is one of the most dedicated professionals I have ever worked with , always going above and beyond her work responsibilities ,” said Robert , who nominated Crepeau for the award . “ Her passion and enthusiasm for our students is infectious to all who are around her .”
Congratulations , Debbie , and thank you for the wonderful work you do for the Thornton community !
