Dear Alumni , Parents , and Friends of Thornton Academy ,
Preparing to kick off another academic year at Thornton Academy is always an exciting time , but this year feels special as we once again resume our full in-person schedule of campus activities .
I am truly grateful for the dedication of our faculty and staff , and their ability to adapt during these uncertain and challenging times . The past year put that dedication to the test , but I ’ m proud to say we pulled through it together and excelled despite the challenges of COVID-19 . As we look forward with hope and optimism , we reaffirm our commitment to maintain the safety and wellbeing of the entire Thornton Academy community .
We are dedicating this issue of Postscripts to Inspiration . Here you can read how our teachers are inspired to combine technology with art , how our alumni strive to carve out new approaches to meet common needs and discover new worlds , how our staff engage students in expanding their creative horizons , and how our campus looks to the future while honoring the past .
Years from now when we look back at the pandemic times , I believe we will not see limitations but instead an expansion of skills . Thank you for the support you have provided Thornton Academy and our students in the past year , and for the years to come . Your support , along with contributions to the Thornton Fund , allows TA to fuel curiosity in the classroom , confidence in our student athletes , and creativity in our artists . You give our students the opportunity to be who they are and become who they want to be .
Your generosity creates the strong TA community that prepares our students to become the innovators of tomorrow .
