parking for Go Ape . The troubling thing in this case was that it was the first time we have heard of a firearm being used in the robbery . To try and assist with identifying future criminals we are looking at placing cameras near the roundabout at our entrance as well as up at the main traffic lights on the way out of Modderfontein . The more visible we are about this sort of activity the better the deterrent will be .
We are pleased to inform you all that we received 18 trees for Arbor Day from residents , thank you to everyone that participated in this and especially to our Estates & Garden Committee for driving it . You might notice we have been dredging the ponds near the Community Centre and putting in irrigation pipes on the other side of the watercourse . This is part of our steps to reduce the damage the summer rains bring as well as ensure any trees we plant on the other side will have water through winter . Thornhill is a big place to manage but I am glad to say we have some exceptional residents that have been willing to serve on the committee as well as so many other residents that put the time and effort in when we do any drives to improve the state of our parks and gardens . Thanks very much to all concerned .
That ’ s it for this month . Did you notice I managed this one without anything personal in it ! Her indoors should be relaxed about that then . Until next month , stay safe everyone .
