FROM THE THOA OFFICE
Pets
A reoccurring problem that we are experiencing are pets that are
getting off the properties that do not have tags. It is essential that we
can identify the owner so that our guards do not waste time running
around looking for the owners.
Once again, that is time spent by the guards not doing what they are
intended for. We are also noticing that residents are walking their dogs
on the estate while off leashes. There is an area on the road reserve
specifically for allowing your dog’s off leashes.
Homeowners
Please remember to update your contact details should they change.
Should you change your email address or cell number please notify the
office on (011) 608-0835 or via email on [email protected]. You could
possibly miss out on important information sent out via email, particu-
larly now as it is almost time for our AGM.
Please also remember to notify our office if you rent out one or more
of your properties when new tenants are moving in. It is essential that
when using an estate agent you make sure they are registered. Regis-
tered estate agents notify new tenants of the rules and regulations for
Thornhill Estate.
Watercourse
We expect to start work on our watercourse this month. Three new
ponds will be reinstated between the Road Reserve and on the eastern
side of Thornhill Road.
Plinthing
Some of our residents may have noticed some work on our perimeter
fence along Johannesburg and Valley Roads. This is the last section
of fence that is being plinthed. It is expected to be completed by June,
which will see the entire perimeter fence plinthed. For those who may
not know, that will mean that concrete has been poured under the
entire perimeter fence as an added security measure.
AGM time coming up
It’s that time of year again and we are starting to prepare for the 2018
AGM.
This year we want to hold it on Sunday 17 June to comply with the new
requirements from the Community Schemes Ombudsman, so please
make a note in your diaries for that morning. We will be sending out a
