• Entries to be submitted to Linda at the Thornhill Estate Office .
• Fee is R100.00 for each pot you enter for the tasting competition .
• Fee to be paid with each entry submitted to the office .
• Potjie must be prepared in a cast iron pot ( 3 legged or flat bottomed ).
• No cooking to be done other than at the venue ( preparation can be done at home ).
• Cooking to be on gas , wood or briquettes ( No fires may be made directly on the grass . Own provision must be made to protect the grass ).
• Judging time : 16h00 – Your potjie must be ready for tasting by the Judges at your site at 16h00 .
• If your potjie makes it past the preliminaries you will need to keep a small amount of your potjie available for the final tasting which will take place immediately after the preliminary round of judging .
• The judges ’ decision is final , and no disputes will be entertained as it is all done in the spirit of the event .
