THE HISTORY OF PINES & PALMS
Pines & Palms has evolved over the years from a tiny arts co-op called the Accidental Gallery , which opened in 2011 in Boston , Georgia . The founder was Sandi Shaw , who saw the historic town as a draw to artists and collectors . She and five other smart artists made a go of it until Sandi and her husband moved from Boston to Thomasville in 2016 . A year later Pines & Palms was established by Sandi , Holly Lybrook and Sue Mc- Fadden . Sue was the engine that assured the events were professional and well advertised . Together they envisioned a membership organization that would bring Georgia artists to Thomasville for lessons and events . Their dream became a reality when they became a nonprofit early in 2017 . The only challenge was in finding an appropriate building in Thomasville .
