Finally in the summer of 2019 , Pines & Palms moved into a big beautiful art space on the second floor of the historic Cuban Cigar Factory located on the Vashti campus . This forgotten historic building , built in 1893 , offers artists tall windows with ample natural light ,

stunning oak floors and room enough for both private art studios and communal space . The campus is located at 1815 E . Clay St .
The space has allowed nationally known painters like Joe Palmerio , Steven Walker and Larry Moore , and photographers
Alan Ross and Dan Burkholder to teach classes here in Thomasville .
The studio now provides art spaces to 9 local artists : Holly Lybrook , Dean Norword , Marshall Singletary , Emily McCenna , Sara Simmons , Sandi Shaw , Dylan O ’ Neal , Kristine Jones , and Beth Weider .
Recently , Howell and Sharon Maxwell Ferguson , owners of The Covey Nest , offered their new space for use by Pines & Palms , even planning the walls around the needs of the art shows . Commenting on the generous help from the Fergusons , Sandi says , “ This is a wonderful place for local and Southeast artists to meet and show work . Further , with a recent grant from the Georgia Council of the Arts to reach a wider audience , it seems like the organization has come of age .”
