The Key to long-lasting love
Through it all , the Powers owe their successful love story to their shared faith and traditions .
“ I think putting God first and having a partner that will come alongside you , pray for and value you is a big thing ,” Meredith said . “ We were both believers when we met but to be able to grow in our faith together has been definitely a blessing to me .”
The vows that were taken at the beginning of their union is also something Danny said all married couples should value throughout their journey .
“ The vows that you take are not made-up stuff . It ’ s stuff that ’ s going to happen ,” He said . “ It ’ s bigger than the honeymoon phase . Marriage is about when the world ’ s upside down and all those pieces come back together .”
With every obstacle thrown their way , Meredith said they ’ ve come out stronger and expect to take on even more life together moving forward .
“ I ’ m definitely blessed to have a partner . I feel like we ’ ve been evenly matched from the beginning . Leading up to our engagement there ’ s a lot of turns that could have happened , but God ’ s timing was perfect ,” she said .
