HOW WE MET
While I was living in Atlanta , we met at a bar after a friend ’ s wedding . Knowing we had mutual friends , I walked up to Sam to introduce myself . Unbeknownst to me , my very best friend talked to him earlier in the evening and wanted to connect us . The very next weekend , Covid shut down the world and I came home to Tallahassee . We went to dinner with a group of friends that weekend and the rest was history !
THE PROPOSAL
It was a normal Wednesday , and I had gone to Liam ’ s for a drink to celebrate a friend ’ s birthday . When I came home , I found him sitting on our back porch and I proceeded to walk out , sit in his lap , give him a hug and ask him how his day was . The next thing I knew , Sam was down on one knee . We had our first official date and said our first “ I love you ” at the same house , so it was the perfect place for him to ask me to be his wife .
THE DRESS
I made an appointment at Vocelles in Tallahassee , and had no intention of finding my dress the first trip . I was doing one last lap around the store to see if there was anything I missed . I grabbed a dress that wasn ’ t exactly what I had in mind , but my mom encouraged me to try it on . When I came out in the dress , the reaction from my family and very best friend confirmed it was the one .
FAVORITE DETAILS
One of the best decisions we made was getting married in a ceremony on Thursday with 17 of our closest family and friends . Following the ceremony , we went to St . James for happy hour , our cake cutting , and a beautiful intimate dinner . The rest of the weekend we were able to visit with our guests and truly enjoy our entire reception that Saturday !
