HOW WE MET
Billy and I both went to Wofford College in Spartanburg , SC and literally met on the first day of school . He roomed with my best friend from high school , so he had an easy in on his introduction .
THE PROPOSAL
Billy had already moved to Thomasville at this point , so he had plans to travel home to Florence , SC for Thanksgiving . I told him to stop by my house on his way out of town to say goodbye . When he got to my house , I was in the back yard throwing the ball to my dog , Henry . I waved him down and told him to come meet us out there . He had a giant moving box in his hands with what he said in the moment were “ birthday gifts for Henry .” He unloaded the box with toys and treats for Henry , and the last item out of the box was a ring box . He got down one knee in my backyard and proposed ! Turns out he was not traveling home for Thanksgiving , and his family whole was in town to celebrate !
THE DRESS
I got my dress at Vocelles Bridal Shoppe in Tallahassee , Florida . I went with my mom , sister-inlaw , and maid of honor . We all grabbed a ton of dresses for me to try on , but I ended up getting the first one I tried on !
FAVORITE DETAILS
With Billy growing up in South Carolina , and me growing up in Georgia , the best part was seeing all our friends and family come together in one place .
