Heavy metal band Slayer headlines the 8th annual
Rockstar Energy Drinks Mayhem Festival kicking off
on June 26 in San Diego, California.
The headlining tour is in conjunction with Slayer’s
11th studio album which is untitled at the moment
and due out later this year through Slayer’s own and
unnamed label.
The album has been reported as being a sonic
assault of brutal, ominous, lightning-fast and heavyas-hell music with lyrics that unmask what Slayer
knows best - the terror, the corruption and the societal
turmoil that dominates our world.
Mayhem Festival is on its 8th year and has had
more than 190 performances from some of the biggest
names in heavy metal.
The festival founded by John Reese and Kevin
Lyman and is booked by Darryl Eaton at Creative
Artists Agency and has had more than 2 million attend
throughout the 8 years.
Slayer consists of bassist and vocalist Tom Araya
guitarist Kerry King, drummer Paul Bostaph and
touring guitarist Gary Holt.
Slayer joins legendary bands such as King Diamond,
HELLYEAH and The Devil Wears Prada on the main
Rockstar Energy Drink main stage.
Feed her to the sharks, Kissing Candace,
Whitechapel, Thy art is murder, Jungle rot, Sister
sin, Sworn in, Shattered sun, Code orange, and the
Coldcock band winner will perform on the Victory
Records stage.
Title sponsor Coldcock American Herbal Flavored
Whiskey headquarters are located in San Diego, Calif.
Rockstar Energy Drink is the title sponsor and has
maintained that role since the festival’s inception.
