Finding the strength to live when
there’s so much heartache, loss
Actress Chloe Grace-Moretz takes the coming-of-age
Mia beautifully through a majestic growth in music and
as a teenage girl graduating high school.
The film is much more intense than the trailers lead to
believe as the main plot spans the entire film leaving no
wasted time.
Mia, played by Chloe Grace-Moretz, is a cellist who
captures the attention of punk rocker Adam, played
by Jaime Blackley, who is instantly captured in her
mesmerizing talent.
The rocker Adam brings the uptight young Mia into his
world and quickly shows that he has fallen for her.
An accident leaves Mia fighting for her life as the other
immediate family who were in the accident with her fight
for their lives as well.
Moretz plays a charming girl with a heart and enormous
talent, but even more so plays the coming-of-age part
well making it beivable and charming.
Blackley is endearing as he charms the girl and the
stage as a punk rocker with a heart going after the girl
with a talent thats intimidating.
The films is emotional and does not let up. Although
full of good times and happy moments they add up and
make the sad moments sadder.
“If I stay” in theaters August 22.
