has recently been secured at the airport. This came
after the Mayor and Combined Authority agreed
a £23.6m investment to kick-start infrastructure
development on 270 acres of land on the south side
of the airport.
Once utilities and access to the A67 are in place,
the £200m inward investment will be provided
over the next ten years and see 3.4m square feet of
logistics, manufacturing and commercial space built
at the airport through a joint venture partnership
with a private sector developer. The development
could create 4,400 jobs.
The development goes even further, with the
money made being pumped back into Teesside
International to further secure its future.
