BRINGING GLOBAL VISITORS TO TEESSIDE
Durata delivers end-to-end solutions for critical power and mechanical systems . From Durata ’ s headquarters in Middlesbrough ’ s TeesAMP business park , the team works with customers all over the world , understanding their needs and delivering on expectations . Lewis Cobb , Durata ’ s head of modular data centre projects , explains why Durata wants Teesside to be known as the home of the modular data centre .
WORDS : PAUL FRASER
Tell us a little about Durata and its journey so far ? Durata ’ s history started from critical power installations in the data centre industry , working hand in hand with global manufacturers and their product sets . Durata has built up a story of successful installs and developed services from there .
The move to the TeesAMP business park a few years ago has provided a more established home , creating further opportunities to expand from the UK to work across Europe , the Middle East and Africa – working on installations from public buildings through to blue-chip companies .
As Durata has progressed , we now have an additional focus on modular construction and being able to deliver prefabricated , modular solutions for projects quicker and more efficiently – and crucially , the bones of that operation are all in place on Teesside .
Excited – Durata ’ s Lewis Cobb .
Why do you think Teesside can become the home of the modular data centre ? It has the skillset in abundance and an existing infrastructure that can be redeveloped and sculpted to service a growing digital infrastructure market globally . Whether it is the raw material of steel required to fabricate a house unit , or the design and integration of data centre technology , Teesside has a chance to become a unique operational infrastructure for data centre solutions .
