The Tees Valley has become a ‘ go to ’ place for investment , business and skills , backed by Levelling Up Fund allocations . This funding has enabled areas from across the region to secure funding and establish development corporations to maximise investment and development potential .
Faithful + Gould – which is celebrating its 75th anniversary – is working with the local and combined authorities to help unlock this potential while providing solutions to future proof industry , making a real difference to people ’ s lives and creating thriving communities .
Over the years , Faithful + Gould , together with its sister company Atkins , has played an integral part in supporting the Tees Valley regeneration goals . Recent examples include :
Southbank Quay , Teesworks : The 1km quay will help unlock 2,300 acres of land to the south of the River Tees for economic development focusing on technical innovation , advanced manufacturing and clean energy . The construction of the quay is also central to plans to make the region the UK ’ s premier offshore wind location for manufacturing , storing and mobilising wind turbine technology .
Stockton Waterfront : This will see the creation of an urban park with open , flexible spaces for community use and large-scale events . It will also support the

Airport – how a Southside unit may look .
transformation of the town centre to create a sustainable retail offer that safeguards the high street , creates new uses for vacant properties , attracts businesses and drives footfall .
Teesside Airport , Southside Development : The development of critical infrastructure will connect the site to the main utilities and provide access to the Southside of the airport from the A67 . Once complete , Faithful + Gould will support the 10-year development goal to create 3.4m sq ft of logistic , manufacturing and commercial space , with the potential to create up to 4,400 jobs .

Teesport is the largest exporting port in England and the deepest on the east coast of the UK . Achieving freeport status has created a gateway to global markets by road , rail , sea and air , supporting the aim of becoming the first Net Zero cluster in the UK .
Faithful + Gould supports the aim to drive innovation and improvement from within , transforming the way we operate to respond to climate change , population growth and other major risks and opportunities facing society .
Mr Gardner added : “ We support the Tees Valley by utilising our highly skilled team to deliver holistic sustainability and energy efficiency services with a client-centric approach .
“ We understand the importance of our leadership responsibility to both improve our own sustainability performance and to influence others through the alignment of our strategic advice , design , construction , and asset life-cycle operations .”
The Tees Valley Combined Authority and the Tees Valley Local Enterprise Partnership are working to improve diversity and accelerate growth in the local economy to benefit both businesses and residents , with £ 393m of capital investment planned over the next 12 months , developing over 4,500 acres , and with 775 jobs already created .
Faithful + Gould has pledged to continue using its expertise and skills to support those transformation goals improving the economic performance of the area – building on the distinctiveness of the local economy and centres around the niche offer in relation to clean energy , low carbon and hydrogen .
