Paul and Shaun Tomson New Crop of Girl Surfers down at the Pier Recently, after watching a Huntington Beach High School workout, Tomson gushed about the new crop of girl surfers down at the pier saying, “they look good, their chin’s are up and their shoulders are back and they’re really finishing their waves and learning how to get radical.” “There’s such a great bunch of mentors around Huntington Beach that just want to see surfing progress” said Tomson, which is one reason he wants to live here. Tomson, who works at Bolsa Chica State Beach, likes what he sees Call me a Hodad for asking, but was the women’s competition at the 2015 Vans US Open of Surfing only half as entertaining as the men’s competition?
