Call me a Hodad for asking, but was the women’s competition at the 2015 Vans US
Open of Surfing only half as entertaining as the men’s competition?

IKE MANY of us, you may enjoy watching surfing but don’t actually follow the
sport or look at World Surf League (WSL) rankings. Certainly, there‘s nothing
wrong with being stuck in 1966, romanticizing about soul surfing with Robert
August in pursuit of an Endless Summer—the movie that gave birth to our present “surfand-travel” culture.
