“Surf’s Up Doc!” Dermatologist and surgeon Cole Fulwider, M.D., holds free clinics
at the beach, educates the local surf community about skin cancer and the dangers of
the sun. For years, she volunteered at the Veterans Hospital and now trains other
physicians on her specialty—Mohs surgery. She’s a socially engaged lady-doctor-surfer
who acts daily to change minds and, sometimes, saves lives too!
Meet Doug Webb! –You’ve heard him play the soprano sax from your sofa on
themes like Law and Order and dozens of other TV programs, including Family Guy and
American Dad. You’ve heard his work on movie soundtracks like Die Hard, X-men, Blue
Iguana, What’s Love Got to Do with It” and dozens more. This Edison High School
graduate has recorded with Rod Stewart, Carly Simon, Kenny Rogers and Bonnie Raitt to
name a few. He’s worked with notable jazz greats Horace Silver, Stanley Clark and
Freddie Hubbard and yet, in his own home town—Huntington Beach—not many people
recognize his name. Meet Doug Webb!

“The Family Business” by Sean Boswell – The Waller Family’s all in and travel
baseball’s their game. Meet the Waller Family, the next generation. They are five sons
who grew up playing and later teaching at the San Diego School of Baseball with
baseball greats like Tony Gwynn and many others. They learned the game from their
father who, after a career as a player, scout and scouting director, became the assistant
manager of the San Diego Padres. Their new online game-match database is creating
opportunities for aspiring young ballplayers and saving families money.
