technique, which she today finds “so
gratifying—to be able to have a 97% to
99% cure rate.”
Doctor Fulwider loves working with the
veterans and feels “they are the best
patients in the world.” “We fuss over
them and try to give them an excellent
cosmetic result,” says Dr. Fulwider.
“They’re so appreciative.”
Sincerity and Helping Others
Tina Miley has been out to the horse
stables and marvels at the confidence of
Dr. Fulwider, who she says, shows no
fear and believes that horses can’t be
fooled. But it was when Tina Miley
described how they sit side-by-side to
play iPad Brain Games at lunch, that
seems to reveal most about Dr.
Fulwider—the way she motivate others
and finds her own fulfillment.
She “makes me feel smart also” said
Tina Miley, who looks forward to the
days when Dr. Fulwider is in their office.
“She’s really smart, but she allows me to
excel also, she’ll back off and kind of
know where I excel,” says Miley, who
added, “She makes it fun!”
Though most of us tussle with cynicism
and the polarizing forces of our culture
these days, Cole Fulwider, M.D., seems
to manage this difficult dance with
sincerity and by helping others—while
becoming actualized in what she is
potentially. Surf’s up Doc!
