Charm bracelets have seemingly fallen to the wayside, but the
Nex Band may change that with gamification. Sure, the band
looks a lot like most other fitness trackers, but thanks to the
use of mods instead of a typical display Nex may be more like
Disney Infinity than its contemporaries in the industry. e
mods are like charms that allow the band to interact with
phones and potentially with the wearer’s environment.

Finally, Wearable Printing
3D printing is no doubt fun and is full of
potential, but the plausibility of printed textiles
has seemed distant at best. is until
Electroloom won a grant from Alternative
Apparel to develop the technology that would
create sustainable, 3D printed clothing that is
actually worth wearing. ere is still a way to
go in terms of locking in the fibers and
technology necessary to create realistic
products, but the implications for the future of
