WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO GO INTO DENTISTRY?: I always knew I wanted to go into the health field but it wasn’t until a representative from
the Marquette Dental School gave a presentation to my college group that I opened my eyes to the profession. I subsequently joined a
summer program at the dental school that year and wound up loving it. I always enjoyed working with my hands and dentistry was the
perfect blend of intellectual challenge and creativity that I desired out of a lifelong career.
WHEN DID YOU OPEN YOUR PRACTICE? In January 15’ after purchasing the practice from Dr. Scott Williams, whom was retiring.
WHAT MAKES ROSS DENTAL UNIQUE? We’ve removed the stereotypes that made going to the dentist dreadful. We won’t embarrass you
if you have problems or haven’t seen a dentist in a while. We listen to you and help guide you down a path you feel is best for yourself.

IN WHAT WAYS ARE YOU INVOLVED WITH YOUR COMMUNITY? We are continually working on more ways to be involved in the community
but for now we have been big supporters of the Marquette Dental School, local law enforcement, Heritage Senior Living, and the Pewaukee
Juniors Guild (a local service organization).
HOW DO YOU HELP PEOPLE WHO ARE NERVOUS OR ANXIOUS ABOUT DENTAL WORK? We listen and cater to what it is that makes you
nervous. If you don’t like the noise, we have noise cancelling headphones. If you don’t like pain, we don’t work unless you are completely
anesthetized and comfortable. Laughing gas is a great adjunct to anesthetic and it can enhance its effects and help you relax. Finally,
sedation is a surprisingly simple, safe, and very effective way to accomplish all your dental work. For those with a complex medical
history we have even been able to bring in an Anesthesiologist.
WHAT TYPES OF MEASURES ARE TAKEN TO GIVE KIDS A GOOD TIME DURING THEIR VISITS? Having a good sense of humor is important.
Kids are silly so it is a lot easier on them when they see you acting silly too. They don’t expect it so they instantly let loose, be themselves,
and just think of us as one of them only bigger. Bad jokes and talking about eating worms can really go a long way.
WHAT IS A COMMON QUESTIONS / COMMENTS THAT YOU HEAR FROM CUSTOMERS? “Will my insurance cover it?” – Although insurance
can help keep your out of pocket expenses down, they usually have a lot of limitations which don’t always have your best interests in
mind. Think about what is best for you when making treatment decisions, not just what your insurance plan says will cost them the least.
