HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN IN BUSINESS ? 5 years . WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO GET STARTED ? After several years training shelter dogs , I wanted to help them feel better about themselves in a different way . Watching the pups prance around after bathing , clipping , and styling them filled this passion for me ! WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF YOUR BUSINESS ? Aside from our amazingly caring grooming family / staff , establishing a connection with each dog on the grooming table and seeing their fears disappear is one of my favorite parts of our grooming business . WHAT ARE YOUR CUSTOMERS LIKE ? I am confident that Holly ’ s Dog Salon has the best customers around . Not only are they kind and considerate with their precious pups , so many customers have extended their caring and generous hearts to the staff at the salon . Many end up coming in every two weeks between their grooming appointments for routine nail trims , and start to feel more like part of the family than customers ! WHY SHOULD CUSTOMERS DISCOVER YOUR BUSINESS ? Our salon is unique in that we never have more than a few dogs at the salon at any given time . We believe this creates a calm and safe environment , as well as allows us to keep each dogs ’ visit at the salon short and sweet . We are able to do this by extending our hours of operation . ARE THERE ANY PLANS FOR YOUR BUSINESS TO EXPAND , ETC .? We are putting all of our attention on this location for the time being . We have added several new and talented groomers to our grooming family as well as extended the salon ’ s hours of operation to accommodate our growing clientele . WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE LOCAL BUSINESSES ? Our salon collectively agreed on some of our favorite local hot-spots : Sobelman ’ s : for their classic WI menu , For Pet ’ s Sake Training : they use a positive reinforcement approach to training as well as having a cheerful and knowledgeable staff , Integrative Veterinary Services : for their holistic and non-commercial approach to animal care , Bel-Aire Cantina : for their unique taco menu !
