OPENED: “Originally opened as Saloon on Calhoun in January 2009 under different ownership. When I took over 9/21/11 I added “with
Bacon” because everything is better with bacon! We started serving free bacon during weekday happy hour, and that began Saloon’s
successful turn-around.”
ABOUT: “Being a financial adviser for the last 20 years I wanted to take my business experience and diversify my business outreach
into the service industry. I felt that Brookfield lacked a fun, event-filled local pub and grill. The large lit parking lot and no neighbors
to disturb made Saloon’s “difficult to find” location in the US Bank parking lot ideal for live entertainment and potential growth.”
INSPIRATION: “ I have always loved hosting parties and making sure everyone has fun. As far back as I can remember my cousin Mike
and I talked about owning a bar, so when the opportunity presented itself to make those dreams come true I jumped in. My experience
is in finance, but Saloon had two exceptional employees when I took over who committed to teach me the service industry. Louie
Brouwer continued on as head bartender, and Jennine Paoli agreed to being my GM. We would not have had the growth and success
we have if not for the solid foundation of these two incredible people and all they bring to Saloon’s appeal! Our collective mission is
to make sure people leave feeling great about their experience at Saloon!”
