HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN IN BUSINESS : Five years . WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO GET STARTED : My children , who recognize that the earth and all the creatures in it are precious commodities . We decided to make a difference by educating people about how keeping lawns , trees & yards healthy can actually have a positive effect on us and the natural world when done with respect to the environment .
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF YOUR BUSINESS ? Having a direct impact on people ’ s lives and decisions to cut back on chemical usage , by providing the empowerment of knowledge alongside the results people expect . We love it when people say “ Our lawn has never looked better !” and they mean it - realizing the philosophy and the service work !
WHY SHOULD CUSTOMERS DISCOVER YOUR BUSINESS ? We are a small , local , family business , using sustainable practices , giving personal service and results you can enjoy . Our philosophies are backed up by over 25 years of expertise , not just hands on , but helping develop products and defining techniques that benefit leaders in the agronomic green industry - all across the country .
WHAT ARE SOME NEW DEVELOPMENTS IN YOUR BUSINESS ? We ’ ve been growing every year and credit that growth to our current customers . 80 % of new customers find us because current clients refer us . This year ’ s growth encouraged us to update our software to Real Green , a system designed and dedicated to lawn service , in order to give our customers the administrative care they deserve . When my daughter was diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2008 , I begin searching to find a natural product to deter ticks and mosquitoes . I was determined to find something that could withstand our regions harsh weather conditions , have lasting results and be affordable . Two years ago we began testing lawns & trees with an essential oil service that lasts 4-6 weeks , is chemical free , and it really works ! Another new service we offer this year is imperative to save the lives of area Ash trees . Emerald Ash Borer treatment is our recommended precaution to use against the small insect predicted to devastate 100 % percent of infected , untreated trees in our area .
HOW DO YOU THINK LOCAL ? Be Green is a member of the Waukesha County Green Alliance – an organization anyone can join to help develop , promote and educate about sustainable possibilities and practical momentum . We feel a small awareness consistently will grow into large results over time . A friend once told me , if you add a drop of water to a glass one at a time , someday it will be overflowing , but if many friends put in one drop at a time , it will be overflowing even faster . That ’ s the best way we can think of to “ think local ”; have a small impact in a big world and create an awareness that makes a larger impact over time - and doing it with the help of those around us .

Success with our natural insect management services
All Natural Insect Management is a chemical free , all in one service which successfully manages several nuisance insects such as Ticks , Mosquitoes , Japanese Beetles and Fleas - but will not harm beneficial insects such as Bees , Butterflies and Earthworms . Each service lasts 4 - 6 weeks depending on weather conditions . For best results that create a barrier all season long we recommend 4 services ; or try a single service this spring to focuses on ticks or choose one for a special occasion this summer to be rid of pesky mosquitoes .
