Sehat.com foundation lies on
providing credible health
information and guidance to
patients and help them in taking
informed health decisions. Founded by Suresh Kanumuri, the portal is owned and operated by Dotlabs Web Solutions Pvt. Ltd. The users can ask questions to doctors, research hospitals and doctors and can also follow a lot of health information in the form of articles, slide shows, tips, news and other updates.
Please elaborate on SS has evolved over the span of 6 years.
SS has remained more or less consistent in its structure. We had brainstormed for several weeks at IIM Bangalore and CCD Koramangala on what we are trying to accomplish with SS. The focus in the first three years was to:-
1. Give closed door feedback so that fewer startups die out of making the wrong product (Product Demos)
2. Inspire people to startup (Talk by a serial entrepreneur)
3. Connect people together (Networking)
The third point was very important in our plan. To "connect" people together. To get them on a grid. Once they are on that grid, almost any sort of support "Feedback", "Mentoring", "Access to an investor/customer/early adopter" would become easily available.
was India's biggest list of people looking for co-founders. Now a days we do a dedicated speed dating event to help people find co-founders.
Can you tell us how SS has been able to make an impact on startup ecosystem of Bangalore?
I don't know how much of an impact it has been able to make. :(
