political autonomy for tribals .
The Assamese media being chauvinist in its attitude
towards tribal people, especially towards Bodos was
a major theme which occurred in the comments of the
users of the facebook groups.
Many users of the facebook groups wrote about
constant attempt by Assamese media to portray the
entire Bodo community as terrorists. “The assamese
channels always refer to the NDFB as a Bodo
terrorist organization but they never call the ULFA
as an Assamese terrorist organization” wrote a user
in one of the pages. The main reason according to the
user for this is the hidden agenda, which is to create
an image of the Bodo tribe as a violent ‘militant
community’. Here it can be mentioned that the NDFB
is a militant group demanding a sovereign Bodoland
which is now split into three factions
